Self-Assessment Modelling Tool
The Provider Modelling Tool has been designed to support providers in assessing their own performance against the Framework for Excellence. In particular, it aims to help providers develop their understanding of how the Framework will work in 2008/09 and demonstrate how planned quality improvements might impact on their overall assessment by enabling them to calculate their performance-measure scores and derive their own Framework ratings.

Note:
This revised (V1.1) version of the software tool corrects a flaw that prevented usage with Office XP. If you use Office 2002 or Office 2003, then you can continue to use version 1 of the software and do not need to download this new version. If you have Office XP, then this version of the software should run without creating VB error messages.
Revision (1.2) contains two corrections to the previous release.
The first of these is to the grade associated with UoR5 when the score has not been over-ridden in cell BX36. If you have already completed the worksheet with your organisation’s data, this error appears not to have any consequence beyond Performance Indicator level and can be simply worked around by re-entering your score for UoR 5 in the over-ride cell.
The second of these errors is that some values in the worksheet entitled ‘Zdata’ are incorrect. The revised version has amended this, however, if you have put significant effort into entering data onto a previously downloaded version of the tool, you may be able to work-round this by correcting the error in your existing version without having to re-enter data into this revised version.
To do this, you can alter the values in the ‘Zdata’ spreadsheet. The first attempted change to this worksheet will be rejected, but subsequent changes may be accepted. You will need to change the values in the ‘Zdata’ worksheet as shown below:
